Boyd’s Bedstead

Heya! Today I had to write a paper about Boyd’s Bedstead, which was the first corded bed invented by Henry Boyd. As part of the paper, I had to take on the persona of the inventor and write up three “customer reviews”. There weren’t really any rules so… I got a bit creative. I thought what I said was funny, so I wanted to share them with you in hopes that you’ll find them funny too. 🙂

“I had my doubts at first, because I’ve been having nightmares since I was small. But now with the Boyd’s Bedstead, the only dreams I have are of chasing birbs in the big city! -Cleophas Pendersnap, full-time family dog, Cincinnati”

“The Boyd’s Bedstead is an absolutely sensational build! The structure is genius and gives me room to slide underneath the bed when parents walk in. Much appreciated invention! -Laike Newlin, part-time tooth fairy, part-time monster under the bed, Cincinnati”

“Very happy with my purchase! I never could have killed my sister’s boyfriend without it. He was sleeping so soundly that he didn’t even wake up when I slit his throat! -Daisy Fern, full-time villain in Pocketwatch, Aisling”

(For those of you who don’t know, the last review is a peek into the plot of the story I’m currently writing. I hope to turn it into a book one day but it’s been a project for a few years now and I may never really finish it.)

♡, Shortie
